As Jesus prays on our behalf, we, too, express our love to others as we pray on their behalf. "Carry one another's burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2
St. Paul's has an Intercessory Prayer Team committed to actively being in prayer throughout the week. Through personal, trusted relationships, email, and phone calls, the team is informed about those in need of prayer in the congregation and beyond. (Intercessory prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others.)
Praying on behalf of others is a powerful gift we can give to one another. The St. Paul's Intercessory Prayer Team prays each week for those who have requested prayer. We pray regularly, in detail, with faith and love, knowing that God hears us. St. Paul's offers two ways to request prayer for oneself or for another. You may request to have your prayer request on one list or the other, or both. On Sunday mornings we pray corporately for those on the prayer listing in the church bulletin. During the week, our prayer team prays each day for those requests received in the prayer box in the narthex (room just before entering the Sanctuary) or by word of mouth or email. These requests are more specific to the need of the individuals prayed for and treated with complete confidentiality.
"To be Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing." Martin Luther
