The puppet ministry team has been named "The Luther League". This name comes from the past as it was what the youth group for Lutheran churches was called years ago. Today , the name is used by the ministry team at St. Paul's as a play on words to describe a team of puppeteers who have "super powers" to "strive for peace and justice in all the world" as it fulfills one of the baptismal promises one makes in the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church).
The Luther League is in the stages of planning for activities and presentations during the 2019-2020 school year. The schedule will include presentations for Christmas and Easter for the APPS (A Place People Share) after school program, visits to local senior residences, VBS (Vacation Bible School), and a training to include local and Synod congregations.
